TEM surgery is the preferred means for the treatment of large rectal adenomas and early rectal cancers. It is a minimally invasive technique without the risks of major radical surgery.
Colchester Hospital University Foundation Trust is the provider of the TEM surgery service in the Essex Cancer Network with a wide experience in treatment of early rectal cancers and circumferential adenomas. The TEM service is lead by Mr Matthew Tutton and TEM courses are run annually.
This TEM course is a practical course and aims to provide delegates with the technical skills to perform TEM surgery independently.
